A lecture or training session today typically includes
a screen showing content from a laptop. In order to
capture the lecture it is necessary to record from
two inputs, a live feed from a camera and the HDMI
output from the laptop.
These two inputs could be recorded and streamed
separately to an online platform using two live encoders.
Alternatively, a low cost HDMI selector can select which is captured and streamed
or by a small live video processor with PiP (Picture in Picture) or side-by-side scaling
could be used for streaming both in one video image.
Separately recorded videos would then later be combined in an NLE to produce an edited file for uploading.
Corporate live announcements, strategic updates or quarterly business results to employees or to shareholders. Board rooms are too small for everyone, so providing a low bitrate multicast video streaming solution provides a means to easily extend live presentations to overflow rooms and allow employees to view them at their desks.
Recording of the live announcement means it can be later uploaded onto the company web site. Also monitoring of the boardroom by technicians can allow a centralized helpdesk to assist in case of problems.
